چکیده

Temperature-programmed desorption of pyridine, FTIR and multinuclear NMR spectroscopy and catalytic test reaction have been applied to investigate acid sites in mesoporous materials with silicon/aluminum ratios of 266 and 20 and in an amorphous aluminosilicate with nSi/nAl=5.4. The results obtained by these methods indicate the presence of weak Brønsted acid sites in the aluminosilicate samples. Based on the spectroscopic data, a model of Brønsted acid sites in the aluminum-containing MCM-41 is proposed which consists of silanol groups with 3–4 framework aluminum atoms in their local structure. In the dehydrated ammonium form of the mesoporous aluminosilicate, these framework aluminum atoms have a tetrahedral oxygen coordination. Deammoniation leads to a strong broadening of the 27Al echo NMR signal due to framework aluminum atoms which indicates a variation of their local geometry and/or oxygen coordination. 27Al echo NMR studies of calcined and subsequently reammoniated samples indicate that this variation in the bonding state of framework aluminum atoms is a reversible process. © 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. Synthesis, Characterization and Studies on Catalytic Behavior of Mn(?) Complex with 2, 2? Bipyridine, 1, 1? Dioxide Ligand within Nanoreactors of MCM-41

Manganese (?) complex with 2, 2? bipyridine, 1, 1? dioxide (bpdo) ligand was immobilized within nanoreactors of MCM-41. The immobilized complex was characterized by powder x-ray diffraction (XRD), nitrogen adsorption desorption, and FTIR. The pore volume, surface area and pore diameter of MCM-41 decreased after immobilization of Mn complex. Three bands observed at 1250, 1220 cm?1 and 757 cm?1 a...

Synthesis, Characterization and Catalytic Activity of a New Chromium Catalyst Supported on Nanoporous MCM-41 for Oxidation of Olefins and Alkyl Aromatics

The mesoporous molecular sieve MCM-41 was covalently grafted with 3-chloropropyl trimethoxylsilane and then was reacted with [Cr(salpr)(H2O)]Cl, (salpr = N,N'-bis(3-salicylidenaminopropyl)amine) to afford MCM-41 containing Cr(salpr) moiety, Cr(salpr)MCM-41. Powder X-ray diffraction and nitrogen adsorption-desorption analyses revealed that not only the textural characteristics of the support wer...

In this work, we report synthesis and characterization of Bi2O3 nanoparticles loaded on mesoporous MCM-41 nanoparticles by a simple solid-state dispersion (SSD) method. Monoclinic bismuth oxide nanoparticles were prepared by polyacrylamide gel method and used as loading materials on the prepared mesoporous MCM-41 as a supporting material. Preparation, characterization and determination of photocatalytic activity of MCM-41/ZnO and MCM-48/ZnO nanocomposites

The direct and indirect methods in solvent media and grinding method in a solvent-free media were used to prepare the MCM-41/ZnO and MCM-48/ZnO photocatalysts. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns showed that zinc oxide nanoparticles were put into MCM-41 and MCM-48 substrates and there were ZnO crystallites as secondary phase in the extra framework of mesoporous materials. The decrease of surfa...
